In entertaining contributions from their lives, they comment on their surroundings and favourite places and take you on a journey through time.

Basel Audio Tours combines in-depth knowledge with modern technology and enables a new way of experiencing the city - entertaining, interactive and completely flexible in terms of time.


THE TOURS AT A GLANCE

● Erasmus of Rotterdam, the most important humanist of his time, accompanies you to the most historic place in Basel: the cathedral hill.

● Paracelsus, the physician and alchemist, takes you on an energetic tour from Münsterhügel to Spalenhügel, where the Pharmacy Museum awaits you at the end.

● Jean Tinguely, the mischievous inventor of moving art, lets you see Basel through his playful, ironic eyes - from the vibrant centre of the Old Town to the tranquil Spalenhügel.

● Irène Zurkinden, the freedom-loving painter and cosmopolitan, accompanies you on an inspiring walk over the Spalenhügel, past her former studio to the Spalentor.

● Hans Holbein the Younger, the celebrated master of Renaissance portraiture, takes you on a journey through artistic Basel - from the Kunstmuseum across both banks of the Rhine to the lively Kleinbasel.
