What's New in HiJavis (v0.6.1.6)

New: Tips, built into the app

1. A new light-bulb Tips button sits next to the brain button on the main screen. Tap it for short, step-by-step guides to recording, skills, connecting Google (Gmail and Calendar), and using Javis with Obsidian, ChatGPT and Claude.
2. A setup checklist shows how far along you are (for example "2 / 3") and has a Continue setup button. A small blue dot on the Tips button means setup isn't finished yet. When you're done, it says "You're all set."
3. The guides show screenshots and short animations of each step, in light or dark mode to match your phone. If you've turned on Reduce Motion, you see a still picture and can tap Play to watch the animation.
4. Guides you've already opened still work when you're offline.
5. Close Tips with the × or by swiping down.

Agent Chat now suggests what to ask

1. The Agent Chat button now shows a puzzle-piece icon.
2. Each time you open Agent Chat, you see a short list of tasks your skills can do. Tap one to run it. No typing needed.
3. New users see one suggestion from each skill. Once you've used Javis a bit, it shows your two most-used tasks plus one you haven't tried.
4. If a task needs something first, such as a recording or a Google connection, it's greyed out. Tapping it takes you straight to the fix.
5. If a skill you'd want is missing, you'll see "Add the … skill" so you can install it right there.
6. If a task is slow, the app tells you it's still working. If it fails, a Try again button appears.
7. If the agent finished a reply while you were away, the next time you open Agent Chat it takes you back to that reply first.

Smoother recording

1. "Open Record Agent" in Tips, and the record suggestion in Agent Chat, now start recording right away instead of opening an empty page.
2. While a recording is starting, the screen says "Starting recording…" instead of briefly showing an empty page.

Clearer keyboard setup

*. The keyboard tip now tells you exactly where to go in Settings: HiJavis → Keyboards.
