XSound is a controller for Bose SoundTouch systems. It runs entirely on your local Wi-Fi network — when your Bose SoundTouch is on the same Wi-Fi as your iPhone, XSound discovers it and gives you control over playback, presets, sources, and volume.

COMPATIBLE WITH
All Bose SoundTouch speakers — SoundTouch 10, 20, 30, Portable, and the Wave series.

Keep your Bose SoundTouch speakers working after the cloud shuts down on May 6, 2026. XSound is a free, private replacement for the official Bose app — no account required, no data collected, no cloud dependency.

WHAT IT DOES

Control your Bose SoundTouch speaker directly over your home WiFi. Browse thousands of radio stations through TuneIn. Play streams through your Bose speaker, your iPhone speakers, Bluetooth headphones, or any AirPlay device — and switch between them in a single tap.

FEATURES

• Full remote control — play, pause, skip, volume, mute, power, sleep timer
• Save 6 presets that live on the speaker itself (survives Bose's cloud shutdown)
• Browse by curated picks, popular cities (New York, LA, Miami, Paris, Tel Aviv, Tokyo), genres, and full-text search
• Favorites library synced to your device
• Bass and equalizer adjustment
• Audio mode switching (Normal, Dialog, Night)
• Spotify Connect integration
• Lock-screen controls and background playback
• Real-time updates — volume changes made on the physical remote reflect instantly
• Available in English, Hebrew, Spanish, and French

WHY XSOUND

XSound talks directly to your speaker over your local WiFi network. Your speaker keeps working exactly as designed, for as long as your WiFi router runs.

• No ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs
• Works entirely on your local network
• Your favorites and presets stay on your device and speaker

REQUIREMENTS

• iPhone running iOS 17 or later
• Bose SoundTouch speaker on the same WiFi network (or use iPhone playback mode without one)
