A gentle journal for the matcha you love.

Matchabook is a journal for matcha lovers. From the day you open a tin, it records every gram, note and best-by date — and reminds you to "drink this one first".

■ A file for every tin
Snap a photo, pick the label, note the dates and net weight. A built-in catalog of 120+ meisho from 11 Japanese makers, plus your own, organized by category and brand. Optionally share custom labels anonymously or download others' (off anytime). Track purchase and list prices, and duplicate a tin in a tap.

■ Log every bowl in one tap
Usucha, koicha, latte or dessert — record the grams and brewing temperature (°C or °F), and add photos and videos. See what's left and how long since opening, and filter My Shelf to available tins.

■ Recipes and the whisking guide
Save a recipe per label — grams, water, temperature, ingredients, tools — plus brewing steps (sift, pour, whisk, knead, add milk, ice or syrup, or your own) you can reorder and rename. Tap the floating chawan, pick a recipe and follow along with immersive animation, live on the Dynamic Island and Lock Screen. Log it straight to a tin.

■ Community recipes
Browse recipes others have shared and add the ones you like, or share your own: text and steps only, no photos, under a nickname we suggest. Update or withdraw anytime.

■ Rate every label
Stars, repurchase intent and a five-axis radar (umami, sweetness, bitterness, aroma, texture), rated per vintage year.

■ See everyone's matcha (some Pro)
The most-enjoyed and highest-rated labels, with your rating and radar set against the community average. Anonymous, opt-in, off by default (rankings and comparison are Pro).

■ Keep a memory
Finish a tin with a farewell note and keepsake photo, saved to Memories.

■ Every bowl counts
Achievements tally bowls, matcha used and streaks, with shareable cards.

■ Calendar and shareable snapshots
View Records as a calendar. Tap a record for a clean snapshot with zoomable photos, and make a share card.

■ Recipes and cost per cup
Save recipes you make often (milk, sugar, cocoa…) with default amounts and tools. Matchabook estimates each cup's cost from tin and recipe prices. Several bottles? Add them at once, with nicknames, best-before dates and remaining amounts. Each cup's cost is saved when you log it. Prefer no batches? Set a standing price. Records and Stats show this month's spend; tap a cost for its breakdown.

■ Revisit the past
"A Day From the Past" draws an old entry to relive; optional gentle reminders (off by default, on-device, at your time).

■ Never miss a date
Best-enjoyed and best-before dates are worked out for you, with reminders at the time you choose.

■ Home Screen widgets
Freshness Countdown, Matcha Shelf and Matcha Memories.

■ A tool shelf
Catalog chasen, chawan, chashaku and more with photo, maker or kiln and price. Five tools free, unlimited with Pro.

■ Dark appearance · themes · CSV (Pro)
Follow the system or lock light or dark. Seven themes and CSV export are Pro.

■ See your matcha year (Pro)
Monthly and weekly stats are free; Pro adds a yearly review and rankings.

■ Privacy first
No sign-up or login. Records live on your device and sync through your own private iCloud — we can't reach it. Google Firebase collects anonymous crash diagnostics and aggregate usage info (nothing identifying, no ad tracking, never sold). Label sharing and community stats are opt-in, off by default, with no photos or personal records. A shared recipe publishes only its text and your nickname, and an irreversible hash of your iCloud ID lets you update or withdraw it.

Available in English, 繁體中文, and 日本語.

Matchabook Pro is a one-time purchase: unlimited tins and tools, video, custom categories, all themes, CSV export, advanced stats and community rankings.
