The games once scratched into temple floors, chalked on courtyards and played under village trees, now in your pocket.

Paṭṭ Krīḍā (Sanskrit for "board play") brings together the traditional board games of Bhārat and their regional variants, each with its own painted board, its rules, and the story of where it is played. Tigers hunt goats. Armies close in on a spinning chakravyūh. Complete a line and an opponent's stone falls. Simple to learn, deep to master, and made to be played together.

THE GAMES
• Tigers and goats: Bāgh Chāl, Puli Meka and Bāgh-Goḍ. A few fierce tigers against a whole herd. The tigers capture by leaping; the goats win by hemming every tiger in.
• Make a line: Kaṭṭam Vilayāṭṭu I, II and III, Dahḍī and Egara Dahḍī. Place your stones, then move them. In Kaṭṭam a finished line wins the game; in Dahḍī every line you form takes one of your opponent's stones.
• Two armies: Barah Guṭī, Lau Kaṭā Kaṭī, Pretwa, Dash Guṭī, Egara Guṭī, Nau Keti Keta, Solah Seedi, Chaturviṁśati and Gol-skuish. Equal forces face each other, and one jump can open a chain of captures.
• Chakravyūham: armies clash on a wheel of four rings and six spokes, named for the formation of the Mahābhārata.

PLAY YOUR WAY
• Against the computer, at Easy, Medium or Hard. It grows with you.
• Pass-and-play with family on one device, including tournaments for the whole household.
• Online with friends: live matches, or turn-based games you can return to whenever it is your move.
• Climb the leaderboards: every ranked online match moves your rating and your title.
• Watch a demo game to see a board come alive before you play.

LEARN AS YOU PLAY
Every game has a short "How to play", and newcomers get a guided first game. A gentle banner tells you whose turn it is and what phase you are in. Every game also carries the heritage of its board: where it is played, what it is called there, and what to remember when you play.

These games teach the planning of a general and the patience of a herder. They were played by grandparents, carved by temple builders and passed hand to hand for centuries. Paṭṭ Krīḍā keeps them in play.
