You don't lose to gambling the moment you place the bet. You lose in the ten seconds before it, when your thumb already knows where the app is.

BetBlock is built for those ten seconds.

A BLOCKER YOU CAN SWITCH OFF ISN'T A BLOCKER

Willpower isn't the problem. The off switch is. At 2 a.m., anything you can turn off in one tap, you will turn off.

So BetBlock has no easy off switch. You can always add an app or a site to the block list. Nothing in here can take one off, and switching the website filter off takes a pause, a hold and Face ID. Your strongest moment makes the rule, and your weakest moment can't break it.

Being straight with you: iPhone Settings can still undo protection at the system level, and no app can prevent that. So BetBlock makes that road long and slow on purpose. A 24-hour wait. A nudge to text someone you trust. Face ID. Never one tap.

REAL BLOCKING, RIGHT ON YOUR PHONE

- Lock gambling apps behind Apple's own Screen Time system. You pick the apps. iOS enforces the block, not us.
- Block betting websites in every browser: the top gambling sites people hit most, from sportsbooks and casinos to crypto casinos, sweepstakes and prediction markets. Add any others you know by name.
- Open a blocked app and you get the block screen instead: a reminder that there's a reason you started, and one button that says leave.

LOCK IN BEFORE GAME NIGHT

- Lock in for a few hours or the whole weekend. Until it ends, nothing inside BetBlock can loosen your protection.
- Rules lock you in on the days and times you choose.
- Guardian Mode: a sponsor, partner or friend holds a 6-digit key. Loosening protection needs their key, then your Face ID.

FOR THE 2 A.M. MOMENTS

An urge is a wave, not a wall. When one hits, BetBlock walks you through it one step at a time. Name it. Rate it. Wait it out. Pick something else to do. Urges pass on their own, and this gets you to the other side of them. It works offline, because urges don't wait for signal. And when you need a real person, a helpline to call and a ready-to-send text for someone you trust are right there.

WATCH WHAT YOU WIN BACK

- A daily pledge and a streak you can hold in your hand.
- Money not gambled, worked out from the numbers you enter. Your real spending, not invented averages.
- Hours and days back in your life, with milestones worth keeping.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

- Your journal is locked on your phone before it ever syncs. The key lives in your iPhone Keychain and never reaches us. We could not read your entries if we wanted to.
- The website filter runs on your device. Your browsing never leaves your phone, and Screen Time data stays on-device, the way Apple requires.
- No ads. No trackers. Nothing sold. Ever.
- An account is optional. Sign in with Apple if you want one, or skip it and everything still works.

BetBlock is a self-help tool, not medical treatment. If gambling is putting you or your family in danger, please also reach out to a problem-gambling helpline where you live. You deserve real people in your corner too.

One day at a time. For once, the odds are on your side.
