HANDS-FREE PRATIKRAMAN, ON YOUR PHONE

Nitya is built for one purpose that no other Jain app serves: doing Pratikraman without touching your phone.

Choose Devsi, Raisi, Pakkhi, Chaumasi or Samvatsari and tap Start. A devotional image fills the screen with the current step and a countdown laid over it. The screen ignores touches, so you can set the phone down, sit in asan and never pick it up. Steps change on their own, with a Lock Screen Live Activity and a notification at each change. Devsi and Raisi run for a full 48 minutes, the length of a Samayik.

Nitya was made with a Jain temple community in Virginia whose members, many of them senior citizens, asked for exactly this: large readable text, nothing to tap during the ritual, no advertisements in the middle of prayer, and one page that shows the whole day.

WHAT ELSE IS INSIDE

One page for the whole day
- A live clock and today's Jain date: Gujarati month, Sud/Vad tithi, Vikram and Veer Nirvan Samvat
- Sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset and the moon phase for wherever you are
- Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana with the time each one ends
- Brahma Muhurta, Abhijit, Rahu Kaal and choghadiya

Pachkan, with real times and one-tap reminders
- Navkarshi, Porsi, Sadh Porsi, Purimuddh, Avaddh and Chauvihar
- Each time shows the sunrise or sunset it is counted from, so you can see exactly how it is worked out
- A daily reminder for any pachkan time you choose, set with a single switch

Calendar
- Every day's tithi at a glance, with parva tithis, festivals and Kalyanaks marked
- Kshaya tithis and the extra (Adhik) month handled
- Alerts the evening before a parva tithi, festival or Kalyanak

Vidhi and Gyan
- Pachkan types, Kalyanaks of the 24 Tirthankars, Viruddh ahar and the four Kashay
- Navkar Mahamantra, Nav Tattva, the 12 Vrat, Chaud Niyam, Ashta Karma, Gunasthanak and more

Made for everyone in the family
- English, Hindi and Gujarati
- Big, easy-to-read text that follows your iPhone's text size
- A short first-run tour explains the language, location and hands-free Pratikraman, and can be skipped at any time

Private by design: no ads, no tracking, no account. Everything is worked out on your iPhone, so it works offline.

Choose a city, enter coordinates or use your location. Times are calculated on your device; please confirm important dates with your guru or sangh. The Pratikraman sequence follows the six Avashyak as a general guide; follow your own vidhi book or guru where your tradition differs.
