Somewhere in the old forests of Sweden, Tiveden, Tyresta and Skuleskogen, the best mushroom spots are a secret. You know three of them. So does your opponent: a Vätte, a Troll or a Skogsrå from Swedish folklore.

Neither of you can pick a mushroom without the right weather. But you can make the weather.

HOW IT PLAYS
Each turn you do one thing:
• Set the weather: put a Rain, Fog or Mild token from the market on a forest, or on a token already there to swap it out.
• Harvest with one of your three secret spot cards.
• Drop a spot you can't use, and draw a new one.

READ THE RING
Every spot card shows its forest at the top and, in its middle, the weather it likes. Each token of that weather on the forest lights up one more step of the ring, and the big number says how many mushroom patches you would pick now: one Mild might pick 1 patch, two pick 3, three pick 6. But one token too many reaches the diamond, and the spot is spoiled: it picks nothing until a token is taken away. After a harvest, that weather is used up, for both of you.

So do you harvest small now, or wait for a bigger one, knowing your opponent shares the same sky and can spoil it?

First to 35 mushrooms wins. The round always finishes, so you both get the same number of turns.

CHOOSE YOUR OPPONENT
• The Vätte, the Novice, plays by feel and misjudges a harvest now and then.
• The Troll, the Greedy, harvests as soon as a spot pays.
• The Skogsrå, the Patient, stacks the weather and waits for the big harvest.

New to the game? The guided game teaches you as you play, and How to play explains the rules in five short pages.

DRAWN AS A COMIC
• Bold ink, halftone dots and shouted captions: POP!, BUST!, WHAT A HAUL!
• The weather tints each forest, and every spot's ring is drawn by the game itself.
• Every sound is made as you play: a Nordic fiddle, horn and jaw harp, drums that follow the race, rain, wind, and the forest's birds and owls.
• A colour-blind-safe palette and the Atkinson Hyperlegible typeface, with bigger text and reduced motion in Settings.
• Achievements to earn, in English and Swedish.
