Mom reached for the pickle jar. The jar survived. Her wrist did not. Six weeks in a cast, and the doctor said "no kitchen." Dad has been known to burn water, and your sister is on a diet. That leaves one person: you.

"You hold the knife, I do the talking. And my good hand is enough for the slipper."

Annemin Mutfağı (Mom's Kitchen) is a funny family story and a calm cooking game that rewards precision, set around a Turkish dinner table. Frantic swiping won't help here: you aim, cut cleanly and give everyone their fair share. When you serve, every piece is weighed to the gram, and the family tells you exactly what they think.

SIX WEEKS, AND THEN RAMADAN
• Day 1: Auntie Nermin brings börek for a get-well visit and weighs every slice with her eyes
• The first Bayram without Mom: baklava, pide, revani and a watermelon fight on the balcony
• Mother-in-law raid: Grandma turns up unannounced, and the börek must be cut before the doorbell rings
• Grandma's dough-rolling school, Mom's gold day with the neighbors, family secrets over tea
• Rıza the market seller's scale, a surprise birthday and a final exam on the day the cast comes off
• Months later, Ramadan: the pre-dawn rush, racing the call to prayer with a hot pide, foamy coffee after iftar, charity lokma and Bayram cookies
• Cartoon-style scenes at the start and end of every chapter

47 RECIPES, 23 KITCHEN SKILLS
Cut the börek evenly, slice the onion thin, grate cheese by eye, roll dough to the size of the tray, flip gözleme at just the right moment, pour perfect Turkish tea, peel an apple in one strip and balance the market scale. Then things get serious: roll vine leaves, stuff peppers, whisk a cake, fillet a fish, fold tiny mantı, spread lahmacun, shape köfte and twist simit. When Ramadan comes, pack the pickle jar with no gaps, raise the coffee foam without boiling over, pipe lokma all the same size and cut crescent cookies with the least left over.

MOM'S RECIPE BOOK
Finish a chapter and one of Mom's real recipes goes into her book: menemen, revani, gözleme, stuffed peppers, Kayseri mantı, red lentil soup and more. The measurements are real, so you can cook them in your own kitchen. You can also cook each one in the game, step by step, from scratch.

AND MORE
• Three stars per recipe, plus a tougher master mode
• A new daily recipe every day, with streaks
• Unlock tiles, cutting boards, knives and slippers as you earn stars
• Mom's patience meter: make too many mistakes and the slipper flies
• Music in the Turkish Hicaz mode and market sellers calling out
• Turkish and English
