BridgeX turns your phone or tablet into a mouse, trackpad and keyboard for your Mac or Windows PC. The Mac companion and Windows Wi-Fi public beta are available from https://bridgexapp.org/download/.

INSTALL ON BOTH DEVICES
Install BridgeX on your phone and computer in either order. On the computer, generate a QR code and scan it in the phone app. The download address and instructions are also shown on the first connection screen.

CONTROL AND TYPE
Move the cursor, click with either mouse button, scroll with two fingers and pinch to zoom in supported apps. Hold the left button to drag or resize a window. Type using your phone keyboard and check the local typing preview. Clearing the preview does not delete text on the computer. System gestures use the shortcuts supported by the connected computer.

PHONE AND TABLET
Wide tablet layouts place the controls beside the trackpad; choose the left-side panel or use the compact layout in a narrow window. TV mode provides video, fullscreen and volume shortcuts in supported apps.

CONNECTION AND REQUIREMENTS
Mac: macOS14 or later on Apple silicon; Wi-Fi or direct Bluetooth. Windows public beta: Windows11 x64 on the same home network, using Wi-Fi. Bluetooth on Windows is not confirmed. Both connections are encrypted; control does not require internet. Keep the computer on, signed in and running BridgeX. Grant Accessibility permission on Mac and local-network access on Windows when prompted.

WINDOWS BETA LIMITS
The Windows beta cannot control login screens, UAC or elevated apps. Typing may lag or occasionally produce incorrect characters, especially with long text. Check your input and report issues to support.

Free, with no account, ads or in-app purchases. No cloud relay. Camera permission is optional for QR scanning; manual pairing is available. Support: [email protected]

Save several computers in the Computers list and choose which one to control. Switching releases held controls before reconnecting. For the background Bluetooth improvement, use Mac companion 1.0.1 (28) or newer. Force-closing the app or turning Bluetooth off ends the connection.
